Challenges:

• Needed to quickly integrate the new employees into the Human Resources and Payroll system.
• Client was rapidly acquiring companies.
• MIS staff did not feel they could handle the increased workload in an efficient manner.
  

Solution:

• Because each of the acquired companies had a different technical platform - developed individual conversion plans, strategies and technical requirements/difficulties.
• Simultaneously UC was implementing new Employee Benefits, Benefits Providers and COBRA administrators. This required communications with multiple third-party providers to implement UC benefits. It also meant the UC HR/Payroll system was a 'moving target' during conversion of new employees from acquired companies.  As a result, we conformed and integrated custom time entry to Infinium's Payroll system.
• Utilized Payroll to Payables Ledger interface, reducing manual processes.

Results:

• All conversions were completed on time with no disruption to payroll processes.
• Met time and budgetary constraints.
